WASHINGTON —
Kaycie Jo May and Tyler Lee Huffman were united in marriage June 16 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, with Rev. James Koressel officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Doug and Lyn May of Montgomery and Janet and Mike Chestnut of Washington. Her grandparents are Charlotte May and the late Bill May and Joseph Kilps and the late Wilma Kilps.
The bridegroom is the son of Troy and Sheila Huffman of Boonville and Susan and Mike Smith of Washington. His grandparents are Jerri Houston and the late Gene Huffman and Linda Shifano and the late Don Sipes.
Serving as maid of honor was Amanda Wade. Matron of honor was Joanna Casey. Bridesmaids were Caitlin Graham, Layne Stuckey and Amanda Dougherty, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Bella Rodewald, cousin of the bride. Lindsay May, sister-in-law of the bride, served as her personal attendant.
The bridegroomÕs attendants were Heath Briggeman, best man, and serving as groomsmen were Jarred Stuckey, Justin Bush, Trevor Bruner and Jeremy Granger. The ring bearer was Paxton Traylor, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Kyle and Kory May, brothers of the bride, and Sam Smith, brother of the bridegroom.
Hannah Smith, sister of the bridegroom, and Hannah Kilps, cousin of the bride, were in charge of the guest book and programs. Jim and Vicki Kilps, uncle and aunt of the bride, were gift bearers. Musicians were vocalist Brayton Arvin and organist Angie Traylor, aunt of the bride.
The bride wore a white strapless A-line organza and tulle Allure gown with a sweetheart neckline and chapel train. The fitted bodice was adorned with lace applique and crystal beading. The natural waistline was accented with a satin sash. She carried her grandmotherÕs rosary entwined in an arrangement of green hydrangeas, white roses and alstroemeria with plum and crystal embellishments.
Dinner and dancing were held at the Jasper Country Club.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Washington Catholic High School and is pursuing a degree in early childhood education at the University of Southern Indiana. She is currently employed as a lead teacher at St. VincentÕs Center for Children and Families in Evansville.
The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Washington High School and 2010 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and is pursuing his MBA and CPA certification. He is currently employed as a staff accountant at United Leasing in Evansville.
After a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Evansville.
