WASHINGTON —
The wedding of Sarah Anne Thomas and Charles William Burgin III took place Aug. 6 at Southwind Wesleyan Church on Troy Road. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Charlene Thomas of Washington and the bridegroom is the son of Charles William Burgin II of Indianapolis and the late Ruby Burgin.
The bride wore an ivory gown with sweetheart neckline with gathering on the side bodice. The bodice was pleated with scatter beadwork of freshwater pearls and crystals. The skirt was a pick up skirt of tissue taffeta that flowed and had pick up all the way dawn and was bustled in the French style. The bride wore a veil of tulle and handmade roses of butter-creme voile, accented with swarovski crystals and pearls. A small handbag was made of the butter-creme voile with handmade roses. Both were created by Melanie Wayman, aunt of the bride.
The theme was garden party with dragonfly accents. Amanda Holland was maid of honor. Angela Geary and Jennifer Ellis were bridesmaids. Ryleigh Dillon was her mother’s junior bridesmaid.
Del Strothers of Indianapolis, uncle of the bridegroom, was best man. Joshua Thomas, brother of the bride, and Chris Bechtel were groomsmen. Brian Edington II, nephew of the bride, was a junior groomsman.
Flower girl was Maria Baldwin, niece of the bride. Ring bearer was Jose Mendez, nephew of the bride.
Andrea Wiseman of Otwell was the vocalist. Officiating the ceremony was Rev. Alice Bline of Bicknell and great-aunt of the bride.
A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Washington with food made by the bride’s aunt, Patricia Thomas.
The bride is a Vincennes University student majoring in hotel-motel management with a certificate in culinary technical. The bridegroom is employed at Futaba in Vincennes. They are making their home at 126 Sundale Mobile Home Community, Washington.
