WASHINGTON —
Kara Minderman, daughter of Jim and Karen Minderman of Vincennes, and Travis Schaffer, son of Tom and Elizabeth Schaffer of Odon, were united in marriage June 9 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vincennes, with Rev. David Fleck officiating.
Julie Keilman of Terre Haute served as her sisterÕs matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Andrea Turner of Vincennes, sister of the bride, Abby Black, Jessica Davis, both of Monroe City, Haili Theriac of St. Petersburg, Fla., Jenna Schaffer of Odon, sister of the bridegroom, Michelle Schutter of Vincennes, cousin of the bride, and Allison Hacker of Vincennes, sister of the bride.
The best man was T.J. Schaffer of Franklin, Tenn., brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Tim Hammer of Evansville, Tyler Downing of Indianapolis, Ryan Rippy of Wingate, Ty Sipes of Bloomfield, Tye Robertson of Odon, Robbie Beard of Atlanta, Ga., cousin of the bridegroom, and Christof Fischer of Cleveland, Ohio, cousin of the bridegroom.
The flower girl was Callie Turner of Vincennes, niece of the bride, and the ring bearer was Grant Keilman of Terre Haute, nephew of the bride. Ushers were Marc Keilman of Terre Haute, Justin Turner of Vincennes, both brothers-in-law of the bride, and Garrett Byrer of Washington.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a bright white Allure gown with rich satin ruched delicately throughout the entire slim silhouette, while Swarovski crystals sparkled in the one-shouldered design.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Vincennes Rivet High School. She attended Vincennes University and graduated in May 2011 with a bachelors degree in Human Resources and Management from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis. She is employed at Daviess Community Hospital in the Human Resources department.
The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of North Daviess High School. He graduated in May 2011 with a bachelorÕs degree in agribusiness management from Purdue University. He is employed at Crop Production Services in Washington as a crop consultant.
Following a honeymoon trip to St. Martin, the couple resides at 4415 South Ridge Lane, Washington.
