WASHINGTON — Christopher Wimmenauer, 52, of Washington, died at 1:05 p.m. Monday at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. Born Dec. 19, 1959, in Washington, he was the son of William G. Wimmenauer and Sue Ann (Brown) Fore. A 1978 graduate of Washington High School, he was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and American Legion Post 121. He was a building commissioner for the city of Washington. He loved the outdoors, golfing, fishing, jet skiing, all outdoor sports, camping and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his father, William Wimmenauer of Washington; his wife, Mary Wimmenauer; two sons, Jeremy Alan Wimmenauer and Eric James Wimmenauer, both of Washington; four brothers, Greg and wife Ann Wimmenauer of Renton, Wash., Ron Wimmenauer of Tulsa, Okla., Mike and wife Lisa Wimmenauer of Columbia, Mo., and Marc and wife Angie Fore of Wadesville; and his beloved dog, Luke. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother, Sue Ann Fore; and his stepmother, Bonnie Wimmenauer. The funeral will be at 10:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, with Rev. Gordon Mann officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a Christian Wake service at 3:30 p.m., at Gill Chapel.
