WASHINGTON — Cheryl Jeanne Vachon, 57, of Washington, died at 5 a.m. Tuesday at her residence. Born Oct. 16, 1954, in Washington, she was the daughter of George Bernard and Margie Gail (Russell) Fields. A 1973 graduate of Barr-Reeve High School, she was a dog groomer and homemaker. She loved her family, friends and animals. She is survived by two daughters, Melissa and husband Jacob Russell and Ghislaine (Vachon) Navarre, all of Washington; a son, Bryan and wife Kristie Vachon of Montgomery; granddaughters, Bridgett and Ella Vachon and Patricia Navarre; grandson, Tyler Vachon; sister, Dottie Stoll of Montgomery; numerous nieces and nephews; other family in Canada; and her precious dog, J.V. Her husband, Jean Marc Vachon, whom she married Nov. 24, 1973, died Feb. 10, 2004. Her parents and a sister, Marsha Stoll, are also deceased. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Gill Chapel, with Rev. Carl Fields officiating. Burial will be in Wheatland Cemetery. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
