WASHINGTON — Sam Floyd, 61, of Washington, died at 1:29 a.m. Sunday at Daviess Community Hospital. Born Jan. 31, 1952, in Evansville, he was the son of James Gilbert and Joy (Wininger) Floyd. He is survived by one daughter, Sammi Jo Floyd of Bloomington; one son, Shane Floyd of Washington; one sister, Patty (Jerry) Davis of Washington; one brother, Rick Floyd of Washington. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Karla Martin. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Yvonne Evans officiating. Visitation is after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
