WASHINGTON — The Friends of the Washington Carnegie Public Library will hold a board meeting at 5 p.m. today in the large meeting room of the library at 300 W. Main St.

All Friends of the Library members and anyone interested in the group is encouraged to attend.

Boil order from DCRWS

Daviess County Rural Water System has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for those customers on Bussard Road, CR 75S, customers on SR 257 north of Bixler Road, including Bixler Road, and Fox Run Drive.

Zoning appeals board to meet

The Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday. On the agenda: a request for a variance on garage construction at 13 Old Orchard Lane

ND requests plants

The North Daviess Agriculture Department is looking for flowers, ferns, and houseplants that you no longer want. The agriculture students will use them this winter to learn propagation techniques to make plants for next year’s plant sale.

You can leave the plants by the greenhouse door that is located on the northeast side of the high school.

E-book, e-reader session

The Washington Carnegie Public Library, 300 W. Main St., will offer an update on its e-book collection and how to use e-readers.

The session will be at 2 p.m. Thursday. Call the library at 254-4586 for more details.

Reeve Oak Grove meeting

The annual meeting of Oak Grove Cemetery of Reeve Township will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 14 at Oak Grove Church, with the election of two board members. The public is welcome.

Allison reunion on Sunday
