We apologize for comics mistake

WASHINGTON — The staff of the Washington Times Herald apologizes to all its readers who are comic readers and puzzle solvers. Due to a problem with the technical issue of how the comic page is received at the newspaper, and how it is printed, the same comic page was published three days consecutively.

The error was realized on Thursday morning and steps were taken to correct the problem. However, due to a misunderstanding at the newspaper’s print facility, the errant repeated page was published again on Friday.

In today’s newspaper are the comics dated Jan. 10 and Jan. 11. On Tuesday, the Times Herald will publish comics for Jan. 12 and Jan. 15.

“We are truly sorry this problem occurred. Some of our readers look very forward to the daily comic and puzzle page. We hope our readers can understand mistakes happen, and that we are taking steps to make sure this same technical problem doesn’t happen again down the road,” said Melody Brunson, Times Herald general manager.
