Man arrested for resisting and DWI

Also, Washington man subject of manhunt

WASHINGTON — Trooper Jarrod Lents stopped a 2001 Daewoo on CR 150S at SR 57 at approximately 10:20 p.m. Friday night for making several unsafe lane movements.

The driver was identified as Kaleb Wilson, 20, of Washington. While Lents was in his patrol car writing a citation, Wilson exited his vehicle and fled on foot.

Lents chased Wilson for approximately half a mile through muddy fields and a wooded area before finally catching him. Wilson continued to resist, but was taken into custody.

Further investigation revealed he was under the influence of marijuana. Wilson was arrested and charged with resisting law enforcement, operating a vehicle while intoxicated/marijuana and auto theft. He was held in the Daviess County Security Center on a $6,500 bond.

Washington man subject of manhunt

EDWARDSPORT - Edwardsport MarshalÕs Office Deputies Kevin Abrams and Kent Van Wey stopped a car Friday night at SR 67 and Jackson Street after noticing the license plate was obstructed.

Chelsie Davis of Monroe City was driving the car, and her cousin, Brandon Crowe of Washington, was a passenger. Crowe fled on foot, eluding officers, who learned Crowe was wanted on a warrant and might be armed. They found a loaded rifle under a baby seat in the vehicle.

A Bicknell police officer spotted Crowe, but he again eluded capture. Davis was arrested for helping a fugitive.
