WASHINGTON — CITY REPORT

11:22 a.m. - Elizabeth Crock, 613 E. South St., advised her dogs started barking so she looked out the window and saw a man standing on her carport. She said when the man saw her he got into his vehicle and left. She gave a description of the man and his vehicle.

8:49 a.m. - Officers responded to a domestic dispute on St. John’s Road, where a male was trying to smash car windows and a cell phone and was causing problems. The couple was supposed to attend an anger management class that evening, but the anger management specialist came to speak to them at their residence after the altercation, which was primarily verbal. The male was ordered to leave the residence. At 11:40 a.m. officers checked back to be sure he left and they advised the female to get a protective order, but she refused.
COUNTY ACCIDENT
Tuesday
6:43 p.m. - Mark L. Nelson, 58, Monroe City, was westbound on US 50 near the intersection of CR 300W when a deer ran into the path of his 1998 Ford Explorer. The vehicle came to rest on the north shoulder of the highway.
Nelson complained of shoulder pain where the airbag deployed and struck him. He was transported by Southwest Medical to Daviess Community Hospital, and his son trailered the Explorer home. Damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
ARRESTS
Charity Wagler, 30, Montgomery, was arrested Wednesday by city police for operating a vehicle while intoxicated/controlled substance/refusal, OVWI/endangerment and possession of paraphernalia. She was held at Daviess County Security Center on $6,000 bond.
Randy Bennington, 49, Washington, was arrested Wednesday by city police for public intoxication. He was held without bond.
Mitchell Bath, 18, Washington, was arrested Tuesday by city police for OVWI/controlled substance/refusal, OVWI/endangerment, criminal mischief and criminal trespass. He was held on $8,000 bond.
Larry Steven Ingersoll, 47, Petersburg, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear for check deception. He was released on $2,000 bond.
Jeremiah W. Johnson, 30, Shelbyville, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Tuesday on a warrant for check deception. He was released on $2,000 bond.
