Pike County man wears sign in front of courthouse

PETERSBURG — Petersburg man Larry T. Bass, 27, wears a sign that reads “Registered Sex Offender Who Bought Alcohol for Kids” in front of the Pike County Courthouse on Friday. The public demonstration was part of a plea agreement Bass signed for providing alcohol to minors. According to a release from the Pike County Prosecutor’s Office, Bass had just finished a prison stint for child molesting when he then bought vodka for juveniles in September 2012. He was on probation at the time of his latest arrest. He stood on the sidewalk for an hour, and then was taken to the Wabash Valley Work Release facility in Vincennes, where he will serve an additional 823 days in work release.
