Hyde, Walls make All-Big 8

WASHINGTON — Washington’s Jalen Hyde and Brayden Walls have been named to the All-Big Eight Conference baseball team as announced by conference officials.

Hyde hit .485 and set a new Washington season mark for hits with 48.

Walls was named as a pitcher with 89 strike outs in 54 inning with a 2.26 ERA.

Other players named to the team were: Dane Giesler, Mark Giesler and Nick Gobert, Jasper; Gunnar Hutchison and Bryce Nowaskie, Vincennes Lincoln; Troy Paris and Aaron Roberts, Mount Vernon; Dillon Turpin and Alex Holder, Princeton; Sheldon Hannah, Mount Carmel, Ill.; and Jesse Forbey, Boonville.
