WASHINGTON —

Road closing on Monday

The Daviess County Highway Department will be closing CR 500S, from SR 257 to CR 600S, beginning Monday,  at 8 a.m., for approximately one to two weeks for road construction.

Safe stop at fire house

The West End fire station at 1000 W. Walnut St.  will be a Halloween safe stop from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

WHS students collecting food

Washington High School Student Council will be trick or treating for cans this year for Feed My Sheep.

Monday, starting at 7 p.m., members will be knocking on doors throughout Washington asking for non-perishable food items that will benefit Feed My Sheep.

Student Council members will accept any non-perishable item ranging from cake mixes to cereal to any canned goods.
