WASHINGTON — Effective immediately, Daviess Community Hospital has imposed visitor restrictions due to the flu epidemic.
The hospital has asked people to stay away from the hospital unless they are coming to receive treatment. If it is necessary to visit, masks and hand sanitizer will be available.
According to a release, the hospital has been treating patients for the flu since late December. Patients have ranged from 8 months to 94 years in age.
Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes has also put visitor restrictions due to the flu. They are asking visitors be limited to two per patient, and visitors who have respiratory issues or are under the age of 18 should not come to the hospital.
