11:42 a.m. — An employee of Walmart, 100 Bypass 50 Plaza, reported an adult male shoplifter. The male was let go pending charges.
7:25 a.m. — Michael Moran, 203 S. Meridian St., reported his truck was vandalized. A suspect was named.
12:51 a.m. — An employee of Daviess Community Hospital, 1314 E. Walnut St., said a male in the ER’s waiting room was unruly. The male calmed down before officers arrived.
COUNTY REPORT
Monday
9:27 p.m. — A caller reported a vehicle in a ditch on Troy Road. The vehicle was towed and a minor accident report was made.
7:35 p.m. — A caller reported a car vs. deer accident on I-69 near mile marker 59. An accident report was made.
8:56 a.m. — A caller who lost a debit card in Plainville said the card was used at a liquor store and the suspects were caught on camera.
An investigation is ongoing.
7:16 a.m. — Dustin T. McCarter, Monroe City, reported a sideswipe accident on U.S. 50 near MacAllister Machinery. A minor accident report was completed.
4:57 a.m. — A caller reported cables down on CR 150W. A city officer waited until a line crew arrived to handle the cables.
ARRESTS
Casey Michael Raney, 24, Washington, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Monday on a warrant for two counts of theft. He was released from the Daviess County Security Center on $2,500 bond.
Jay C. Robinson, 49, Washington, was arrested by city police Monday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a controlled substance. He was being held on $2,000 bond.
Max J. Underhill, 18, Washington, was arrested by city police Monday on a Knox County warrant for minor possession of alcohol. He was being held without bond.

3 people arrested after traffic stopVINCENNES – A driver and two passengers were arrested on drug and alcohol charges after their 2006 Pontiac was stopped for traveling 78 mph in a 60-mph zone.
Trooper William Campbell made the traffic stop on the southbound vehicle at approximately 5:30 p.m. Sunday while patrolling U.S. 41 near U.S. 50. Before making the stop, Trooper Campbell observed the driver make several unsafe lane movements. When he approached the vehicle he detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana.
The driver was identified as Gregory Maxwell Ricker, 19, of Indianapolis. Two passengers in the vehicle were identified as Kenneth Cote, 29, of Columbus and Joshua Highbaugh, 18, of Indianapolis. All three men attend school at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville.
Campbell noticed Ricker’s balance was unsteady when he was told to exit the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, the trooper found a bag containing a bottle of tequila, several smoking devices and a measuring scale. Further investigation revealed the driver and passengers had been smoking marijuana within the past two hours. Ricker was taken to Daviess County Hospital where further investigation revealed he was driving under the influence of marijuana. All three men were taken to the Knox County Jail, where they are currently being held on bond.
Ricker was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, a Class C misdemeanor. Highbaugh was charged with reckless possession of paraphernalia, a Class B misdemeanor, and possession of alcohol, a Class C misdemeanor. Cote was charged with reckless possession of paraphernalia, a Class B misdemeanor.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office provided assistance.
