Truck hits horse and buggy

Police Report

WASHINGTON — CITY REPORT

Friday

3:28 a.m. - A caller reported he had hit a loose pony near storage sheds on S SR 57.  A second pony and a horse were also loose.

6:21 a.m. - An officer witnessed a drive off at Shell, 201 NE 5th St, that totaled to $20.01.

COUNTY REPORT

Thursday

2:58 p.m. - A caller reported a horse and buggy was hit by a truck on CR 900E. There were no injuries, but the horse had to be euthanized. An accident report was not made, but an incident report was taken.

11:56 a.m. - A caller reported a downed wire on Troy Road. The wire was damaged and was a telephone line. AT&T was clear.

4:34 a.m. - A caller reported a vacant home at 2 Cindy Kay Drive had a light on that was not on before. The home was searched and no one was found.

ARREST

David Parish, 27, Washington, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday on a failure to appear warrant for possession of a controlled substance and visiting a common nuisance and a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for resisting law enforcement. He was released from the Daviess County Security Center on $12,500 bond.
