Michael Allen

VINCENNES — Michael “Mike” Ray Allen, 63, passed away early Sunday morning, at his residence. He was born June 7, 1949 to Lester and Betty (Coleman) Allen in Evansville. He married Paula Vieke on June 7, 1970, and she survives. Mike retired from UPS as a delivery man and was a custodian for the Old Cathedral Catholic Church. He was a member of Old Cathedral Catholic Church, a long-time volunteer for the Vincennes Cub League, and was in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Mike is survived by his wife, Paula; his mother, Betty; two sons, Paul Michael Allen and his wife Melissa, of Vincennes, Chad Allen and his wife Nancy, of Vincennes, one daughter Heather Keller and her husband Tim of Vincennes; nine grandchildren, Chase Allen, Tanner Allen, Madison Allen, Jacob Allen, Zach Allen, Samuel Allen, Austin Keller, Nathan Keller, and Abigail Keller; three brothers, Roger Allen of Florida, Pat Allen of Bruceville, and Les Allen of Bruceville; two sisters, Lea McQuinn of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Angie Johnson of Vincennes.

He is preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Ronnie and Randy Allen.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Old Cathedral Catholic Church with the Rev. John Schipp officiating and burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
