City Council meets Monday

WASHINGTON — SAFS activities for next week

Monday - American Legion Auxiliary bingo, 10 a.m.; Enhance Fitness, 2:30 p.m.

Tuesday - Movie and snack, 9:30 a.m.

Wednesday - Eastgate Manor biscuits and gravy, 8:30 a.m.; bingo, 10 a.m.; Enhance Fitness, 2:30 p.m.

Thursday - Bible study, 10 a.m.; Crochet Club, 1 p.m.

Friday - Good Samaritan Home Health bingo, 10 a.m.; Enhance Fitness, 2:30 p.m.

Immunization clinics this week

The Daviess County Health Department will sponsor immunization clinics for children under the age of 19 years from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Eastside Park Community Building; from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday and Jan. 29 at Odon Community Building; and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 6 at Dr. Holsopple’s office.

An immunization record is required.

There is an $8 administration fee for each injection. Children under 18 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult.

You may also call 254-8666 to schedule your child for an appointment for immunizations.

City Council meets Monday

Washington City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave. Items included on the agenda: actions to transfer funds related to wastewater utility; two ordinances relating to code enforcement officer; election of council president; appointment to Board of Public Works and Safety.

The Board of Public Works and Safety will meet following the Council meeting. Items included on the agenda: discussion/approval of claims and permits, request for handicap parking sign at 409 N.E. First St., utility write-offs, contracts with American Structurepoint, Inc.

Loogootee SB meets Tuesday

Loogootee Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees will meet in executive session at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday. The open session will be at 7 p.m.

County Health Board to meet

The Daviess County Board of Health will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse.

Women’s group to meet Tuesday

The January meeting of the Vincennes Area Women’s Connection will be held Tuesday at Brayten’s Restaurant in Vincennes at 12:15 p.m. The price is $11 inclusive.

Emily Bunyon from the Knox County Library will talk about the history of tea. Sherry Ellerman will entertain with her vocal selections.

The speaker will be Shirley Wheatly from Alton, Ill., with her message, ÒMy Cup of Life.Ó Child care can be provided.
