PETERSBURG — Philip L. Thomas, 47, passed away Friday at his residence. He was born July 5, 1965, in Martinsville, to Marion R. and Jeanette (Tardiff) Thomas. Philip worked with a florist and as a janitor. He worked as a volunteer at Angel Mounds. He belonged to St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Petersburg. He is survived by his father, Marion Thomas of Petersburg; sisters, Jean Smith of Petersbug, and Mary Thomas of Winslow; special friend, Andrea Majors; and several friends and family members. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Thomas, and his brother, Andrew Thomas. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Curtis Funeral Home in Winslow. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. Joseph Indian School, Chamberlain, SD 57326.
