WASHINGTON — CITY REPORT

Friday

2:56 p.m. — An employee of Walmart, 100 Bypass 50 Plaza, reported a “push out,” in which a female loaded a fountain and flowers in a cart and pushed them out to a black, two-door Dodge pickup and left without paying the approximately $160 cost. A license plate number was given.

12:50 p.m. — Tammy Smith, 204 S.W. First St., advised someone had been in her residence between 10:30 a.m. and the time of her call. She said the front door was unlocked, kitchen cabinet doors were open, dogs were let out of their kennels, and an item was missing.

 9:10 a.m. — Rachel Carter reported her Storage Express unit on N.E. 21st Street had been broken into. She said the lock was off and a large-screen TV and generator had been taken.

Thursday

7:36 p.m. — Alice Canary advised someone took tires from her brother’s old address, 501 Vine St.

4:35 p.m. — Tom Clark requested extra patrol for Storage Express, N.E. 21st Street, because someone has been breaking into storage units regularly.

COUNTY REPORT

Friday

8:25 p.m. — Angela Doyle advised her car window had been broken out while parked at 6470E 100N.

7:15 p.m. — The drive-off theft of $34.67 in gas was reported at Casey’s General Store in Odon. The driver was in a red car, possibly a Ford Focus.

5:18 p.m. — Officers responded to a civil dispute at 2829 Cosby Rd. It was a verbal altercation only.

12:09 p.m. — A caller reported vandalism at 225W 300N to an excavator owned by R&S Excavating. There were several bullet holes in it, causing a hydraulic oil leak and possible mechanical damage. Evidence was collected and offense report was made.

10:54 a.m. — A caller reported someone cut down his tree at 7227E 1700N. Neither Duke Energy nor the county highway department cut it down.

7:29 a.m. — A male was reported trespassing at CR 700S.

4:37 a.m. — A caller reported a 3X3 chunk of concrete in the roadway at 125E 100S. The caller moved it to the side of the road.

ARRESTS

Bruce Allen Lemay, 43, Florida, was arrested by city police Friday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and OVWI endangering a person. He was held at the Daviess County Security Center on $4,000 bond.

Marco Sandoval, 27, Washington, was arrested Thursday by city police for driving while suspended/prior. He was released on $2,000 bond.
