ELNORA —
DUGGER - Indiana State Police detectives have identified a suspect involved in a Sept. 1 altercation at the Uptown Tavern in Dugger as James B. Gardner, 24, of Elnora.
According to an ISP press release, Gardner allegedly punched Richard D. Pigg, 51, on the side of his face, causing him to fall and strike his head on the floor at the tavern. Pigg later died of his injuries at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Gardner is wanted in connection with the case on a Sullivan County Superior Court warrant for involuntary manslaughter, a Class C felony.
Anyone with knowledge of Gardner's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Putnamville ISP Post at (765) 653-4114 or their local law enforcement agency. Gardner is considered dangerous and should not be approached by anyone other than law enforcement personnel.
