WASHINGTON —
CARLISLE — Indiana State Police and Sullivan County emergency agencies responded to a three-vehicle crash at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday at US 41 and SR 58 in Carlisle that left one man injured.
Eden Bault, 30, Odon, was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way in the accident. A preliminary investigation revealed Bault was westbound on SR 58 in a white Ford F150 pickup and drove into the path of a silver 2003 Saturn driven southbound on US 41 by Cary Dohner, 64, Terre Haute. The broad-side impact forced the Bault vehicle into a red 1969 Chevrolet C50 grain truck driven by Clifford Orr, 27, of Carlisle, who was eastbound on SR 58 waiting to cross US 41.
Dohner was transported to Sullivan County Community Hospital for treatment of hip and internal pain.
All drivers were wearing their seatbelts. Drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor.
The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Sullivan County EMS, Haddon Township Fire/Rescue and the Carlisle Town Marshal’s Office assisted ISP Trooper B.J. Patterson at the scene.
