WASHINGTON — Jesse Lee Willis Sr., 85, of Washington, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday at Golden Living Center in Petersburg. Born Aug. 27, 1927, in Petersburg, he was the son of Ottis J. and Jesse B. Willis. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Shirley M. (McCracken) Willis, whom he married March 10, 1954; two sons, Charles Lee Willis and Jesse Lee Willis Jr., both of Washington; three daughters, Mary Elizabeth Wolven and Melissa Jean Bath, both of Washington, and Suana Lee Hollis of Evansville; one sister, Rose Mary Willis of Ravenden, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, with military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and V.F.W. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
