Johnny Lanza

HAZEL GREEN, Ala. — Johnny Christopher Lanza, 81, passed away Tuesday at a local hospital. Johnny was a native and lifelong resident of Madison County. He retired as district manager of Golden Flake in 1990 and was a member of St. Mary’s Church of the Visitation Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife Shirley White Lanza; one son, Michael “Bo” Lanza; three stepchildren, Debbie Joyce, Lori Brewer and Bobby White Jr.; two brothers, Lewis Patrick Lanza and Sam Vincent Lanza; nine stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Berryhill Funeral Home, 2305 N. Memorial Pkwy., Huntsville, Ala., followed by a Memorial Chapel service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Glenn Sayers officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Washington.
