Margaret Trambaugh

LOOGOOTEE — Margaret A. Trambaugh, 75, died at 6:45 a.m. Friday at Amber Manor Nursing Home in Petersburg. Born Feb. 28, 1937, in New York state, she was the daughter of Herschel and Maude (Taylor) Greenwell. A 1955 graduate of St. John High School in Loogootee. She had previously worked at UniRoyal in Washington and Loogootee Textile. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed upholstering, crocheting and cross-stitching. She is survived by her husband, Carl Trambaugh, whom she married June 4, 1955; three daughters, Sylvia Trambaugh of Bothell, Wash., Carla Beasley of Winslow, and Brenda Bruner of Gallatin, Tenn.; one sister, Martha Williams of Ocala, Fla; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Gramelspacher; and one brother, Robert Greenwell. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Loogootee. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.brocksmithblakefuneralhomes.com
