Grace Wade

LOOGOOTEE — Grace Irene Wade, 86, formerly of Shoals, passed away Thursday at Loogootee Nursing Center.

She was born May 19, 1926, in Shoals, to Tom and Mae (Black) Stevens. Grace married Paul E. Wade in October of 1948, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 1975.

She was a homemaker and also worked at NAD Crane. She was a member of the Shoals Church of Christ.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda (Kay) Diamond, and her husband, Tim, of Shoals; a step-son, Gordon L. Wade, and his wife, Pat, of Washington; one sister, Daisy Carrico of Washington; three grandsons, Timothy Paul Diamond, Shane R. Diamond and Paul E. Wade; two step-grandsons, Jay B. and Ryan L. Wade; one great-granddaughter, Haylee Brooke Diamond; and five step-great-grandchildren, Sydney, Colin, Evan, Brandon and Mallory Wade.

She is preceded in death by her husband; a son, Tony Wade; one brother; and one sister.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals, with Pastor Gerald Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in Allbright Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service today at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.queenlee.com.
