WASHINGTON — Terry David Hedge, 66, of Washington, died at 8:44 p.m. Friday at his residence. Born May 19, 1946, in Gibson County, he was the son of Emery and Lillie Mae (Hale) Hedge. A 1964 graduate of Patoka High School, he was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a carpenter and worked for Arney Construction for many years, retiring in 2008. He was baptized in Winslow General Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Janet (Lashley) Hedge, whom he married Jan. 26, 1966; daughters, Laura and husband David Parsons of Montgomery and Dana Cox of Ireland; grandchildren, Jeffrey Parsons, Nicholas Parsons, Jesse Hedge, Corey Cox, Adrian Cox and Patrick Cox; great-grandson, Christopher Hedge; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Ken Hiday of Indianapolis and Judy and Monty Reynolds of Medora; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Beverly Hedge, Larry and Phyllis Hedge and Ronald and Kathy Hedge, all of Patoka. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara Hedge; and a grandson, Christopher Cox. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gill Chapel, with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Simon Cancer Center, I.U.
