Friday
12:20 p.m. — Laura Schilling reported her vehicle was vandalized while parked at the Washington High School teacher’s parking lot between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Petroleum jelly was spread on the outside of the vehicle and powder was sprinkled on the inside and outside. The school is working on an investigation and officers were at the school.
9:21 a.m. — An employee of Traderbaker’s Mall, 119 Cherry Tree Plaza, said its safe was broken into the night before and $500 was taken. Upon investigation, it was determined the burglar stayed in the score past closing time, broke into the safe and left out the back door. An investigation is ongoing.
Thursday
1:55 p.m. — An employee of Fast Max, 1200 E. Nat’l Hwy., reported a drive-off worth $67.78 in gas. Video showed an elderly man in a gold Cadillac sedan looking for a receipt, then leaving. Fast Max asked if the employee could be found.
COUNTY REPORT
Thursday
11 p.m. — A male caller said a possibly drunk male knocked on his door in Plainville and asked for help after his girlfriend left him in Plainville. The caller declined but still heard the male walking around his home. The male was taken back to Washington.
1:49 p.m. — A female caller said she may have located some stolen property near CRs 100W and 550S. All items were retrieved.
ARRESTS
John Nolt, 23, Chicago, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday on three petitions to revoke suspended sentences. He was taken to the Daviess County Security Center where he was being held on $100,000 bond.
Edward Garcia, 33, Washington, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for residential battery. He was being held on $25,000 bond.
Erin Dove, 33, Elnora, was arrested by city police Thursday for four counts of theft. According to dispatch reports, she was found at several local businesses stealing items. She was being held without bond.
