Dale Foster

WASHINGTON — Paris Dale Foster, 81, died at 2:47 a.m. Friday at Daviess Community Hospital.

Born May 11, 1931 in Winslow, he was the son of Hobart L. and Evelyn F. (Ross) Foster.

A Navy veteran, he received the Korean War Service Medal, U.N. Medal and Good Conduct Medal while serving on the USS Manchester.

He attended Pike County and Washington schools and retired from Superior Steel Ball after 26 years of service. He also worked for Owen Detective Agency, managed the Montgomery Campground and the Diplomat Motel in Petersburg. He also worked for Country Oaks Golf Club.

He was a member of the American Legion and the Montgomery Ruritan Club, where he received a Distinguished Service Award.

Survivors include two daughters, Rene (Joe) Bean of Washington and Lisa (Dave) Conaway of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Kim Steele, Heather Allison, Alicia (Chad) Tharp, Emily (Brandon) Clark, Kelly (Aaron) Birt, Zachary Foster, Samantha Bush and Mickey Riney; 13 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a sister, Connie L. Robinson of Washington; a brother-in-law, Dale Moody of Washington; a fiance, Judy A. Riney and her daughter and son, Kim Bush of Oklahoma City and Randy Riney of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Ann “Montgomery” Foster, whom he married on June 14, 1953, on June 14, 1999; his parents; a son, Jeffrey Dale Foster; and a sister, Jenny Moody.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gill Chapel, Bro. David Bean officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

    Lucille Nolley Dillon, 76, died at 3:02 p.m. Saturday at Select Hospital in Evansville after a brief illness.
    Born Sept. 30, 1935, in Daviess, she was the daughter of Arlan V. and Essie (Hardesty) Nolley. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1953 and retired as a bookkeeper from McDonald Chevrolet in Washington after 43 years of service.
