Jerry Lundy

WASHINGTON — Jerry W. Lundy, 66, of Washington, passed away at 4 a.m. Sunday at Prairie Village Nursing Home. Born Oct. 24, 1946, in Shoals, he was the son of Joseph and Stella (White) Lundy. He attended Shoals schools and retired from Harner Trucking. He enjoyed his two dogs and one cat, gardening, gun collecting and working on cars in his garage. He is survived by Jackie Neeley of Washington, his best friend and caregiver of 35 years; one daughter, Teresa Lundy of Shoals; one stepson, Stacy Long of Washington; one brother, Kenneth Lundy of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren, Courtney Long and Cole Long; and several nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Robert, William and Larry Lundy. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary. Online condolences may be made at www.edleemortuary.com
