PLAINVILLE — Constance J. (Myers) Edwards, 66, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born May 30, 1946, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Fluard and Helen M. (Feagans) Myers. A lifelong Daviess County resident, she earned her degree at Indiana State University and was an elementary school teacher in Washington and Odon for 30 years. She was a member of Cornettsville United Methodist Church, ISTA and NEA, and belonged to a bunco group. She is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan and Anna Lou Myers of Washington, and Louis and Sharon Myers of Odon; a sister and brother-in-law, Nyla and James Tillotson of Henderson, Ky.; and godchild, Autumn Rhodes of Plainville. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Nyles “Bud” Myers, Fluard C. Myers Jr., Ronald Myers and Phillip Myers; and a sister, Barbara Smith. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home, Washington Chapel, with Rev. Jack Haskins and Jeanette Carroll officiating. Burial will be in Cornettsville Cemetery. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Friday.
