WASHINGTON — CITY REPORT

Wednesday

2:12 p.m. - An employee of Big O Tire, 203 S.E. Third St., said a male took two tires and left. A manager of the store followed the vehicle and officers stopped the vehicle on Clark Road near the city sanitation department. A male, Kurt L. Coleman, 5224S 100W, was taken into custody.

12:23 p.m. - A female called police and said her husband was chasing her in a vehicle. The two stopped at city headquarters, 101 N.E. Third St., where an argument started. A male, Christopher J. Clark, was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

Tuesday

8:43 p.m. - A male caller at 502 N.W. Third St. said someone left a bag with some items in it on his property. Officers found the bag to contain meth making equipment. It was taken into custody.

COUNTY REPORT

Tuesday

6:46 p.m. - A caller in Elnora said a vicious dog was in her yard. The dog ran off before deputies could arrive. The owner of the dog was advised to keep it penned up.

2:54 p.m. - A caller reported remnants of a meth lab near CRs 100E and 675N.

The trash lab was picked up.

COUNTY ACCIDENTS

Tuesday

4:28 p.m. - Doug W. Sheetz, 44, Plainville, was driving a 2012 Ford F-250 owned by Boyd and Sons Construction west on old U.S. 50 when a 1999 Chevrolet Mailbu driven by Megan D. Nieves, 23, 913 Maxwell Ave., ran into Sheetz¹s path. The two collided and Nieves was taken to Daviess Community Hospital for observation. A one-year-old boy was also in the accident, but not injured. Damage from the accident was between $5,000 and $10,000.

ARRESTS

Rosa A. Cartagena, 27, Washington, was arrested by city police Tuesday for operating a vehicle while never receiving a license.

She was being held at the Daviess County Security Center without bond.
