WASHINGTON — The Montgomery Ruritan Club will sponsor a ham and beef shooting match Sunday beginning at 12:30 p.m. with a closed beef match at 2:30 p.m.
Prizes include ham, beef and other cuts of pork. All proceeds will benefit the Montgomery Ruritan Club Park improvements, community betterment and charitable donations. Free ham and beans and cornbread will be served. Ruritan Club workers are reminded to report for usual work assignments.
WHS cheer clinic on Wednesday
The WHS cheerleaders winter cheer clinic will be Wednesday for girls grades K-6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lena Dunn gym. The attendees will learn a cheer to be performed at half time of the WHS basketball game on Jan. 11.
Cost is $20. Registration is being extended to the date of the actual clinic and the next 50 registrants will be guaranteed a shirt. After that it will be on a first come basis for any remaining shirts.
