WASHINGTON — Church to hold prayer clinic

Abundant Life Church, located on Main Street past the library on the corner of West Fifth and Main streets, will begin a prayer clinic at 10 a.m. Sunday. Everyone is invited. For more information, contact Pastor Paul Hyatt at 698-1393.

Roundtable

to meet Monday

The Daviess County Civil War Roundtable will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday DC Museum, with a  discussion on events of 150 years ago, military and political, including the Emancipation Proclamation. Public is invited.

Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Beulah AME Church, 805 W. Walnut St., Washington.

Martin Luther King Day closings

The following are area closings for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday Monday:

*PACE Community Action Agency will be closed.

*City of Washington offices will be closed. There will be no trash pickup, and the city bus will not run. Residents with trash pick up on Monday are asked to have their trash ready for pick up by 7 a.m. Tuesday. The recycling center will also be closed Monday.

*Daviess County Family Y.M.C.A. will be open.

*The Daviess County Courthouse and Highway Department will be closed.

*Senior and Family Services will be open.

*Daviess County Chamber of Commerce Office and Visitor’s Bureau will be closed.

*Economic Development Corp. will be closed.

*Washington Carnegie Public Library will be closed.

*U.S. Postal Service will be closed.

*The license branch will be closed.

*Retired Senior Volunteer Program offices will be closed.

*Indiana Workforce Development Center will be closed.

*Daviess County Landfill will be closed.

*The Washington Times Herald office will be open.

*Ride Solution will be open.

*Town of Plainville will not be having trash pickup on Monday, due to the landfill being closed Monday. Trash will be picked up on Tuesday.
