WASHINGTON — Sandborn Park dinner Sunday

The Sandborn Park Board is having a beef and noodle dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Sandborn Community Building. Donations accepted.

ND music boosters meet Monday

The February meeting of the North Daviess Music Boosters will be 6:30 p.m. Monday in the choir room at NDHS. 

The North Daviess Music Department announces that the 2013 Cougar Cards are now available. The cost is $10 per card and are good for one full year. They offer discounts from local businesses throughout Daviess County. See any music student or call NDHS at 636-8000 Ext 3800.

4-H will be holding several meetings at the Extension Office on Monday.

Commissioners and council meet

There will be a joint executive session of the Daviess County Commissioners and the Daviess County Council at 8 a.m. Monday in the Commissioners' Room at the courthouse to discuss litigation.

A joint special meeting will be held at 9 a.m.

The commissioners will meet following this meeting. Items included on the agenda: local government program; insurance renewal; terrorism insurance coverage; ambulance advisory board appointments.

City Council to meet Monday

There will be a public hearing Monday at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave., to discuss a water system improvements community development block grant application.

The City Council will meet following the public hearing. Items on the agenda include an overview of the Purdue on Local Government program.

The Board of Public Works and Safety will meet after the Council meeting. Items included on the agenda: discussion/approval of claims and permits; bids for leasing of crop land; amendment of the agreement with Bernardin, Lochmueller and Associates, Inc. on the Business 50 relocation project; salary/position change in police department.

Pike School Board to meet

Pike County School Corporation Board of School Trustees will meet in executive session at 5 p.m. Wednesday to discuss collective bargaining.
